In brief, what are 3 top issues you want to address in the city, or in the ward in particular?
It is understood the 3 main issues are development, infrastructure, sidewalk gaps as well as traffic & public transit. Constituents have elaborated in regard to the rate of new commercial & residential developments esp. near the legion. Also, around the new plaza at winona crossing, the lack of city infrastructure, with no bicycle lanes, sidewalks, seating at bus stops & additional amenities missing. Local public transit needs further expansion with traffic congestion around Fifty road. I have found transit to be limited from ward 10 to 9.
What is one decision of the past council you would change if you could, and why?
The recent council's decision to defeat a proposed 1 year moratorium on AI data centre developments with council reversing an earlier 15-1 direction & voted down the temporary ban, which aimed to pause new data centre projects. Public chambers called out 'shame', showing community anger over possible noise & environmental impacts. It was pointed out that being against the pause & a freeze risked losing multi-billion-dollar investments. I say no to these artificial data centres - I don't want them at all & anything to do with many of these multi-billion dollar deals that are known to be conduits of large corruption money via back room soiree deals. No one would see any of this money esp. the suffering homeless of Hamilton & many struggling Hamiltonians & citizens in general who have been wronged by our governments. There is extensive homelessness around city hall. Various side-tracking of issues are a detachment from reality of what's going on out there; like when city hall put their covering of their shame over the salvation army peoples residence across from the TD coliseum; to try to cover up what has in turn been done to everyone. Many multi-billion dollar dream deals - are to fund corrupt outfits who have an endless stream of money for their lavish lifestyles. I am laser focused & know exactly what to do to set things correct & to continue to fight against corruption in the higher levels of government. I am looking out for my constituents & will phone department heads for any city services that need to be taken care of. Thank you for all of your support - we are in this together, Michael Loomans.

How would you address these issues?
I will present resolutions, bills & motions & debate anything into the ground if it does not fit with the majority interest of you - the electors & members of society, whom without - the government would not exist & have been truly misdirected & forgotten by our governments. We all see the same issues: the rising cost of living, neglected safety in public parks & unaddressed traffic safety. My campaign isn’t about vague promises; it’s about concrete actions. If elected, my absolute day-one priority is to audit the budget to cut waste and redirect those funds directly into your pockets. You work hard for your money & your family & you deserve a local government that works just as hard to make your daily life safer, smoother, & more affordable.
Is there something that sets you apart from other candidates or that voters need to know about you?
I’m Michael Loomans & I’m running to be your next Ward 10 Councilor because our community deserves a leader who doesn’t just show up at election time, however lives & breathes our shared adversities every single day. As a lifelong resident and a small business owner & money manager, I see firsthand where our system is falling short. I’m running to bring logical & practical solutions, true transparency & an open-door policy back to local leadership. I am completely invested in our neighborhood's future & I am here to earn your trust and your vote. No A.I. - & no data centers.
